This I believe..

This I believe...

I believe in freedom of expression. It is what makes a person themselves. It makes you, YOU.

If a person can't express themselves, how should you know what they are like? If they can't express themselves, they will be captured in conformity. Conformity is the leading cause of teen suicide. Teens bully, or pick on another peer for being different. For not being part of the social class that is popularity and conformity.

To fit in is a standard now. If you do not, you are weird, an outcast with few friends who are somewhat like you. Who like you for you. This is the reason for cliques, to an extent. If you're like us, you're cool. But if you're not, you're out. The popular crowd (Jocks...etc.), who owns the latest labels of clothes, doesn't like the "Emos" or the "Goths", and only like the "Nerds" for their homework.

Hitler tried using conformity to make the world a better place, but all he did was make it hell on earth. To get rid of different races or to take away the rights of the people is to take away LIFE. If you are the same as everyone else, where is the fun? Where is the Color? Who are you? Who is "ME"?

If you take away the color of away from the world, all we are clones. Like toy soldiers on the shelf of life.

Pink Floyd, the classic rock band, once wrote about the English reform. To try to make clones out of people. To make them "Bricks in the wall". They took away their rights, their guns, and most of all their freedom. This song, "Another Brick in the Wall" is talking about people becoming the bricks in the wall of the world. Ask yourself, is this how you want to be remembered, as just another brick in the wall?

I do not believe in conformity. I don't believe in being tied down to one type of person, to a certain standard of life that people believe is the "norm", to being a clone. I believe in being myself. I believe in ME. What do you believe?
